I discovered Woodstock ten years ago through my husband, whose family has been in Woodstock for 20 years. After spending so much time here, we finally decided to make this our home with our son.
I have served on the Woodstock Housing Committee for over two years, playing a key role in organizing our public outreach and communications, and ensuring the committee’s work is transparent, well-documented, and accessible to the broader Woodstock community.
My career has focused on improving records management, modernizing technical systems, and coordinating work across staff, boards, and volunteers. I have experience in web development, financial record-keeping, data analysis and reporting.
Below is my relevant experience to the role of Town Clerk.
I am a detail-oriented, expert record-keeper, with experience in setting up systems and databases to organize documents so that they can be easily accessible.
I organized 11 years of donor and ticket sales data for a non-profit music festival into one database, and built the whole thing myself.
I have also been responsible for budgets, managing expenses, and financial reporting. I analyze data and provide visuals to help convey their meaning.

As Executive Director of an arts nonprofit in Virginia, I led a website redesign which included adding online payments. I've also built several simple websites myself (including this one!), and for the past two years I have worked closely with teams that develop resource websites for state and federal agencies.
Not only can I implement modernized systems, but I also provide support through training and communication to help everyone adapt to new technology.

As a member of the Woodstock Housing Committee, I help organize our public presentations and community events. I believe our work should be known to the public and that we need the feedback of our community to make the right decisions for our town.
Volunteering on this committee has introduced me to so many active people in the community, and I've learned so much about how the town runs, and where I can use my skills to help the town run even better.

For four years, I ran a nonprofit arts festival and as its Executive Director, managed a volunteer board of directors. I have also managed teams who produce high-quality and accessible digital education for universities.
I have created onboarding plans, training programs, and development opportunities for my staff and teams.
I foster positive work environments that reward teamwork, and really see my strength as helping people navigate systems and change through clear communication, collaboration, and training.

I've already spoken with several current and former Town Clerks from neighboring towns, learning about their offices' priorities and accomplishments.
Town Clerks have an abundance of resources at their fingertips, including the New York State Town Clerk's Association and the NY Association of Towns. I would attend all applicable trainings, workshops, and continuing education opportunities. Always a learner, I excel at grasping new material, and then turning right around and teaching it to others.
